Workpiece carriers, or WT for short, are used to hold workpieces. The components referred to as workpieces are usually add-on parts or assemblies that pass through several processing stations in a production line and receive a new construction state according to the processing stations. The workpieces can remain in the WT, be removed by employees or even robots, fed for processing and then returned to the WT.
Since a large number of WTs are usually required in production lines, the WTs are designed with a low budget and are designed to hold several workpieces. The workpiece holders on the WT are located on a base plate and correspond to the design of the respective workpieces. The workpieces on the WT are then fed to the production line using a transport system and transported further to the processing stations until the production goal is reached.
