Automatic component provision

Automated component provision: Providing workpieces in the correct position during assembly

Definition: Automatic component provision

Separation systems are used to separate and provide workpieces that are fed in the correct position. These systems are also known as magazines and are used primarily to separate bulk material. Bulk material refers to attachments that are fed into the process to complete the product.

The procedure for all systems is almost identical:

  • Conveying bulk material

  • Separating / separating

  • Aligning

  • Providing

The following systems can be found in industry:

  • Step conveyors with counter-rotating conveyor belts

  • Spiral conveyors

  • Vibrating conveyors

  • Linear conveyor

  • Vibrating surface conveyor

The basic principle for all systems is that the attachments are first poured into a bunker or magazine, hence the name bulk material. In industry, there are already standard solutions for attachments such as screw heads, nuts, etc. However, custom-made products are also developed depending on the design.
