However, this development also brings with it the challenge of recycling used batteries in an environmentally friendly and efficient way. Our goal is to recover valuable raw materials and minimize environmental impact.

Highlights of our collaboration

Reelements is responsible for the core process of battery recycling. With the electro-hydraulic shredding process, Reelements succeeds in making complex material composites recyclable with an efficiency of over 99% and sustainably recovering valuable materials such as lithium, cobalt and nickel in the highest purity. The avoidance of contaminants and the environmentally friendly process make a decisive technological contribution to improving LIB recycling.

Plan B supports this process by using the latest automation technology. Our contribution includes optimizing the dismantling and recycling of lithium-ion batteries. Simultaneously with the dismantling, the batteries are also classified for possible second-life use. Through precise sorting, efficient material separation and real-time monitoring, we help make the entire recycling process more efficient and safer.

• Precise sorting and disassembly: With the help of robotic arms and machine vision, battery packs can be precisely identified and disassembled. This forms the basis for further material separation.
• Factory and plant planning: With over 20 years of experience in factory and plant planning, we are able to support Reelements in the expert planning of the industrial recycling factory.

With the construction of an industrial recycling plant in 2025, we are setting new standards for e-mobility and creating a closed loop for battery materials.
